Subscription Box Review - Ipsy July 2013

I am super obsessed with subscription boxes lately.  I really, really like the concept of getting an exciting "box" of goodies in the mail.  Who doesn't love getting fun mail?  But, with SO many companies out there, it can be hard to choose which one to spend your money on.  I have slowly been trying different companies and have been posting videos on my You Tube channel to show you what comes in the boxes and my opinion of what I get.  Hopefully you will find these videos helpful if you are even inclined to try out a subscription service.  Let me know if there are certain companies or boxes you would like to see a review on.  And, leave me a comment on suggestions for boxes to check out.  So far I have reviewed Little Black Bag and Julep.  Here is the July Ipsy bag.

I'm Published! Paper Crafts Magazine Birthday Creations Volume 3

Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to be published in a magazine.  Now, I really thought it would be for writing.  I love to write, and majored in English in college.  Who would have thought that I would be published as an artist?  Not me!  Not in a million years.  Thanks to Paper Crafts Magazine, my dream has finally come true.  I am elated that I was chosen to be published.  You can see my Cowgirl Celebration Ensemble on page 16 (eek!)!!  Make sure you run out and get your copy today!!  And, check out the Paper Crafts Connection Blog and Moxie Fab World for a week of Birthday Creations!!

Paper Crafts Gallery Challenge: Nautical

Paper Crafts Magazine is having their July Gallery Challenge and the theme this month is Nautical.  I recently received a prize package from the Moxie Fab World Watercolor challenge that I won, and the items in it were perfect for this challenge.  Most everything on this card is from Studio Calico.  I also wanted to try my hand at the freestyle collage style of crafting.  What do you think?  Too messy?  Too much?  Really good?  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think about this unconventional style!!

Weekend Style: Birthday Edition

Last Friday was my birthday.  I am now proudly 31 years of age, and loving every minute of it.  I had seen this dress in the window of a local boutique, and finally talked myself into stopping to try it on.  It was love at first sight!  This Chevron Maxi Dress is amazing!!  And the colors...bestill my heart!  So, this was my birthday outfit.  My birthday was fabulous, and I got to celebrate with some of my favorite people.
